Located in the historic Crabapple community in the northwestern corner of Fulton County, Northwestern Middle School (NMS) was established in 1996. Named a Georgia School of Excellence, Northwestern has four academic wings, two exploratory wings, media center, gymnasium with a stage, cafeteria, administrative and student support service areas and five computer labs.
The school serves sixth, seventh and eighth graders who live in the communities of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Milton. The school was designed for a capacity of 1325 and it opened with 1282 students.
